Swords have signed a publishing deal with Smalltown America Music for two tracks: Lions & Gold and Hips.

"The latest addition to the Smalltown America Music Catalogue is Swords, a three-piece band based in Dublin.

Swords blend guitars, synths, samples, loud drums, and keyboard hooks with Diane Anglim's haunting and intimate vocals. Reminiscent of Cat Power, Roisin Murphy or Ane Brun - Diane's voice invokes dark, deep emotion whilst retaining a strong, melodic pop sensibility.

'Lions & Gold' the band's debut album was produced by Karl Odlum (The Frames, David Kitt, Gemma Hayes, Fionn Regan, Luka Bloom...) and its lead single 'Lions & Gold' have become a mainstay of Irish Radio this summer, propelling the band to new audiences and culminating in a triumphant appearance at this month's Electric Picnic Festival.
